Temptations 

“...do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” - Matthew 6:13

Everyone living in this world has individual temptations. If we look at the temptations in the Bible, Abraham's faith was tempted. Jesus was tempted by Satan. Joseph was tempted for sin. Like this we are tempted by anything. Let us look at the temptations in Joseph's life and how he conquered it. 

Joseph was a handsome young man. Though he was a slave in Potiphar’s house, he is an heir to God. God was with him always. God wished to change slave Joseph to a governor. Without a race no medal isn't it? So he tempted Joseph on his holiness. It is very hard. He is in his tempting youth and the invitation is from a higher authority. But Joseph was victorious. Reason is his God fearing life, but unjust complaint, imprisonment, betrayal but the end is a responsibility to rule over the country. 

My dear youth! This sinful temptation seeps in when your guards are down. David yielded to it. But Joseph stood firmly. If we budge on this temptation, we will lose the ability to stand against sin. If we sin once it is easy to repeat it again. So we have to protect ourselves carefully. Okay, can we look at some advice to escape from these temptations. 

1. Seek the Bible: A closed Bible won't warn you. So read the Bible daily and receive the warning, advice and encouragement. 

2. Prevent loneliness: A lone goat will be food for the wolves. Burning wood taken from fire will be put out soon. So join yourselves with God, with church and good friends. 

3. Cast away laziness: An idle mind is the devil's workshop. So do what God has given you as a job in this world with all your strength, eagerness, and activeness. 

Yea, be careful in your thoughts, avoid unwanted opposite gender closeness and prevent sinful temptations, be victorious and receive the evergreen crown.
