Farmer

"I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase" - 1 Corinthians 3:6

A farmer, before sowing seed in his field, carefully observes how his family or his father sows. In the same way, he sows the seed. Whoever sows the seed will reap the harvest, no matter who sows it. Therefore, he does not leave this work to anyone and sit idle. Doesn't he sow a lot? When should the land be used? How should the water be irrigated? How should the young crop be looked after? How should the grown crop be looked after? When should the fertilizer be applied? He will know everything and act well.

Similarly, when every servant who serves sows the seed that we have, the word, with an eye to it, that seed will bear much fruit. After sowing the seed, the farmer does not forget that it will sprout. Just as we water it, weed it, fertilize it, and fence it so that it does not graze sheep or cattle, we should carefully observe how the word we have sown bears fruit. The protection of prayer should always be with us. “Those who sow in tears will reap with joy.” (Psalm 126:5) We should pray for them with tears. The prayer of our tears will yield great fruit from God. He who sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will reap bountifully. Yes, our God is able to make the seed of the word grow and bear fruit thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold.

Beloved! Our word must be gracious and seasoned with salt. As important as the seed of the gospel is, the man who sows is also very important in the eyes of God. Even today, our God is waiting for people to sow the seed of the gospel. “Whom shall I send, who will go for us?” The eyes of the Lord are still searching for people today. Will you come forward to do His ministry?
