Call upon me

 

"Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me" - Psalm 50:15

 

In the land of Ethiopia, a young woman becomes entangled by some nasty men. The men abducted the woman into a deserted forest, determined to defile and kill her. Accordingly, they took the girl into the dark forest. She screamed and screamed as she was trapped by the ghouls. But no one came to rescue. The guys laughed derisively. They joked that there is no one here to save you. Tired of having no one to deliver her, the daughter raised her eyes to heaven and raised her hands, praying with a loud voice, "Where are you, Jesus? Save me." God heard her cry. He commanded the lions in that forest. The lions swooped down and killed those wicked men. They did nothing to the woman. Look what an amazing God.

 

In the scriptures Daniel was faithful in seeking the Lord. His enemies saw Daniel praying and supplicating before his God. There was a law that if any man made a petition to any god or man for thirty days, he should be thrown into the den of lions. Because Daniel sought God above the law, he was cast into lions den. But Daniel cried out to God and escaped from the clutches of the lion.

 

Beloved in Christ! Our God is the God who answers even the ravens that call. Will he ignore your call like that, he will definitely help. He will command anyone to help you in your time of danger. When we cry out to Him He will deliver us from whatever our problems may be. In your time of danger, call upon Jesus rather than trusting in men. He will immediately come running and free you. You glorify His name. Amen!
