PRAISE

 

"This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise" - Isaiah 43:21

 

 Hannah Giggins was suffering from a strange bone disease for fifty years. She called her bed "the corner of thanksgiving" as she always gave praise to God. She used to keep prayer notes with the names of more than 200 people. Deep in Christ she always lived praising God. At the age of 77 she wrote a book named “Cloud and Sunshine”. When we praise the Lord not only our weakness but also our situation can be changed.

 

We know the apostle Paul in the New Testament. Paul and Silas were imprisoned as a result of preaching the gospel. The jailer was ordered to keep them safe in the prison. He locked Paul and Silas in the prison cell and tied their feet to the stake. At midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God. The earth shook so violently that the foundations of the prison shook at the moment. Everyone's shackles came off. The jailer who was guarding them was saved that day.

 

Beloved! Paul and Silas praised and experienced God's power in prison. There is only one thing we must do in heaven. It is to praise God. Therefore, in this world we should praise God's mighty and wonderful names every day. As Christians, we often forget to praise God. Because the problems and struggles within us do not let us praise God. Let's learn to praise God even in a situation full of problems and struggles. Let us praise God for everything He has done so far and for everything He will do in our lives from now on. Let's praise him for the great kindness that has kept us alive till this moment in our lives! For this we are created by Him.
