Last moment

 

"For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me;…" - 1 Cor. 9:16

 

We all can’t forget the story of Titanic. The year 1912 was when man firmly believed that he had a supernatural power. While everyone was tossing in the middle of the ocean wondering if he would survive somehow, let's see the true story of a man who was not afraid of death.

 

Four years after the tragic incident, the survivors of the Titanic were invited to a memorial service. Everyone's heart was touched by the words of a young man. The young man was stuck in the middle of a wrecked ship and was fighting for his life. Then John Harper, who came with him on the ship, put him in a small lifeboat. A question was asked before he was sent, are you saved? The young man said no. John shared the gospel with him saying, "You need to know something more redeeming than this." Then again John went to save the others. He saved about six people in the boat. Even though he lost his strength due to extreme cold and was drowning in water, he did not stop preaching the gospel. He passed away while talking about Jesus. When this young man said this with tears, the hall was disturbed.

 

As soon as Ap.Paul accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, he preached in the churches without delay. And he considered evangelism to be a noble and a great virtue. That is why he said it is the duty fell upon me to preach the gospel to. He writes, "Woe to me if I don’t preach the gospel."

 

Beloved, evangelism is a further assigned duty to all believers. The main work that every follower of the Lord must do. At any time the gospel we preach can change many lives. Let us count every day given to us by the Lord as the last moment and proclaim Jesus whenever we get the chance. Our gospel will be a new beginning for those on the edge of life and for everyone heading towards death.
