"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" - John 3:16

 

A young girl named Rani lived with her parents in a town. Rani loved a boy, and the bride and groom loved each other very much. But there was strong opposition from both families. Rani wanted to know how much he would sacrifice for her. So, she called him and said if you love me truly you must do something for me. She said tomorrow morning we can go to the top of the hill on the border of our town and jump down together. He also said OK I love you, trust me and agreed to her. The next morning Rani went at the appointed time. But the man did not come there. She waited for hours. His phone was also switched off. Rani realized the truth. That he is a fraud. She cried a lot because the one she had loved the most had cheated on her.

 

A man came that way. He asked her why are you crying daughter? She cried telling everything that happened. He said it’s all right daughter, don't cry! I know someone. He will give you peace. Who is he? asked Rani. The person you love can cheat on you. But this heavenly bridegroom will always embrace you without abandoning you. He made a great sacrifice by jumping into the pit of death for you. He is Jesus, and only his love is unchanging. She came to know who had sacrificed for her. Jesus's love filled her empty heart.

 

Even today human love is changeable. When we love and trust some people too much and their love turns out to be disappointing, we cry and feel left alone. All love except the love of Jesus Christ is limited. Beloved reading this, are you worried that there is no one with me in my poverty, in my sickness, in my hardship, in reproach, in shame to bear it for me? In the midst of all there is the Lord who has done all things, who has stretched out his right hand to revive you and save you from them. Don't worry!! May we taste His love and live without disappointment till the end of life.
