Appropriate clothing

 

"…For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness" - Isaiah 61:10

 

The school reopened after continuous heavy rains. Students were coming. Some did not come back. Some of the students who came wore colorful clothes instead of uniform. When the school bell rang, three students running quickly. The teacher was surprised to see them in perfect uniforms! The students who did not come in uniform said different reasons "Wet sir", "Its dirty sir", "I could not dry it sir". These three students were from a community living together under a palm tree without a place to live. They are people who survive by whipping, begging and hunting small animals. Marappan, how did you keep your uniform safe? "Teacher, we just packed up the school clothes and put them safely in a corner of the building next door." The student's face was so happy while saying it! The headmaster appreciated their sense of responsibility.

 

Beloveds! Look, we have a responsibility just like these students who came to school wearing their uniforms. That is what our father expects from us. We must reach the kingdom of heaven as those who have preserved the garment of our salvation. When the king entered the wedding hall to see his guest, he saw a man without a wedding garment and asked, "How did you come here without a wedding garment". He didn't speak to that." Look, we only deserve to be in that place when we are clothed with the proper clothing. Then, to rejoice with Jesus in the Kingdom of Heaven, believing that only His blood can take away sin, and confessing our sins with the conviction that Jesus gave His life for me, we are clothed with salvation with the merit of being saved. We change. As long as we keep our salvation and keep our garments undefiled, we can be blessed to walk with Him in heaven. Forgiveness, the way to get the garment of salvation!

 

Will you be careful, not to fall back into the mire of sin so as to keep the garments of your salvation? Will you somehow try to guide others to this precious salvation?
