Be peaceful.

 

"If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes" - Luke 19:42

 

A pious man was walking in the forest when a thief intercepted him. As he did not find anything in him, he thought of turning back. The pious man handed him a cup of sweet juice. He refused to drink it saying, "I don't eat sweets on Lent days". See, Christian morals are not in him. But he was careful about Christian ritual. How is our position during Lent?

 

The Bible is an open letter from God to us. In it God wrote his opinion about the man. What is that? It is that the entire human race has sinned and lost God's glory and God's peace. If you get God's peace, you can also get God's glory. What is necessary for that divine peace? Salvation and union with God. After that, our focus towards eternal life brings glory of God. Even many Christians are not aware of these truths. They believe Satan's lie that they can be saved because they are Christians. Neither the pious works we observe, nor any good works will save us. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away all sins and save us. All are sinners but all can be saved only by the blood of Jesus. So let the unsaved get free the costly salvation in this season of Lent. Fellowship with God is essential to persevere to the end if we are saved.

 

On that day the pious high priest and elder accepted the evil Barnabas. But they did not accept the rule of Jesus in their lives. Many people today still give priority to Satan in their lives and do not accept the rule of King Jesus in their lives. Let us know what is suitable for peace at least in these days that we have received as a grace! Let's take advantage of the time! Today is the day of salvation!!
