Is it right?

 

"We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us;…" - 2 King. 7:9

 

Suppose many people are traveling a long distance from one place to another. On the way, many are starving to death without food. But only one person has plenty of food. The nature of that food is that when served to others, that food also increases without diminishing. Such a wonderful dish. But this person did not give it to anyone. He was unconcerned as he saw many dying before his eyes without food. Does this incident seem right to us?

 

In the Bible, 2 Kings 6, 7 chapters, when the people of Israel were caught in a very deadly famine, four lepers of the country went into the camp of the Syrian army that besieged their country, which caused the famine overnight. Seeing no one there, they entered the enemy's tent and ate and drank. They looted some of the possessions they had left behind. Then, came to conscious, and said “It is not fair for us to eat and be satisfied when the people of our country are dying of hunger.” Today is the day of evangelism. They went into the country at night and reported it to the king's palace, saying that if we kept quiet and waited for the dawn, the crime would fall on us.

 

O people of the Lord who are reading this, mankind is trapped in sin, iniquity, transgression, suffering and death. To redeem it, God gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross. He resurrected on the third day. Thus you and I are saved from destruction. He has also made it possible for us to be with him in heaven in the future. But many people are perishing without knowing this truth. It is time for us to evangelize every day! The lepers had concern over the starving country people. Are we concerned? The lepers, realizing that if they waited until dawn, the blame would fall on us, acted immediately. Today, Do we have little of the feeling these lepers had ? Let's ponder ourselves.
