"…Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” - Rev. 22:20

 

A pious doctor was very talented. His wife depended on her husband for everything. Unexpectedly the doctor died suddenly and everyone expected that his wife would be very sad without her husband. But they found her comforted within a few days. The reason is the last words that the doctor had written in his diary entry! Those are the words "I'm out. I'll be back soon." She received great comfort and relief from the Lord which filled her soul. From that day onwards the doctor's wife depended on Jesus for all the needs of this worldly life at all times. This worldly life is not the end, it is a rented house. She moved forward in her life, strengthened in her faith that she would meet Jesus and her husband.

 

In the last supper Jesus Christ said “this vessel is the new covenant through my blood. Whenever you drink this, do this so that you remember me”. The message of the Lord makes it clear, that we should remember His Second Coming and look forward to His return.

 

Beloved! Lord Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross for our sins, died and rose again on the third day, His second coming is very important. No one but the Father knows when it is. So we eagerly await that visit. Until then we should depend on Him for all our affairs. "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable" Scripture also warns us that (1 Corinthians 15:19). We should prepare others also for His return so they will be won and prepared for the Second Coming. Because His second coming is very near!!
