A seed of faith

 

"…if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move" - Matt. 17:20

 

A Bible college teacher preached to students on "faith in the size of a mustard seed." All the students left after the lecture. But only Rajesh was pondering of that word. In Rajesh's heart, a thought arose, to remove that big rock that was blocking the way to his college through prayer. He said every day looking at that big rock “move and go away.” 2 months passed like this and seeing Rajesh's prayer, his fellow students said that he has gone mad. Three months later, one day, with the help of big machines, the big rock was being cut. On inquiry, it was revealed that it was an effort of the state government. The principal of the college called Rajesh and praised him, "God has honored your faith”. Faith like a mustard seed; though small in size, its effect is as big as a mountain."

 

In the scriptures there is a woman who saw a miracle like a mountain in faith. She is Rahab. The scriptures says she is a harlot. Even though she was not an Israelite, she had faith in God. She does not know God like God's people. Despite her sinful life, she heard and believed in the miracles that the Lord had done for the people of Israel. The result! A little faith in her heart bore great fruit

 

Do you have a little faith in your heart today? That faith is like a mustard seed. There is life in it; It will multiply. A seed of faith in your heart will lead you to do great things. Yes, God does not expect much from you. He expects loyalty in the size of a mustard seed. Do you have that faith. Its is enough to overcome any problem you face. Hallelujah!
