Sow with tears

 

"Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy" - Psalm 126:5

 

A man planted a type of bamboo called Chinese bamboo. He used to water it and take care of it right from the time it was planted. No matter how much water was poured, bamboo never sprouts. Days passed, months passed; Why the years roll by? Those who grew other crops around his land were enjoying the fruits of it. He was ridiculed and mocked by those around him. After four years of waiting, bamboos sprouted in his land. Its growth increased day by day. It grew to a gigantic size of about 90 feet in just six weeks. It left onlookers in awe. How true is the saying, " He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing." (Psalm 126:6)

 

In the Bible we read about a woman named Hannah. Hannah is childless, and because of this her rival makes her depressed. Hannah goes to the temple and pours out the worry of her heart to God. God heard the mother's prayer and gave her a son. Years of tearful prayer brought a miracle. As a result, Samuel was born who did many kinds of ministry. She gave the prophet of God to Israel. (1Samuel 3:20) Samuel was the prophet who anointed Saul and David as kings in Israel. He was also the judge who judged Israel. A Samuel thus anointed was found in the prayer of Hannah tears.

 

Beloved, what the Chinese bamboo and the life of the Mother Hannah teach us are the same. "Wait on God." Sow your petitions with tears and turn insults into joy. The Father who sees inwardly will bring fruit inwardly. You will reap the fruit of all the good deeds you have done in this new year. May the Lord himself bless you.
