Fruitbearing seed

 

"The people will curse him who withholds grain, But blessing will be on the head of him who sells it" - Prov. 11:26

 

My father did not know Jesus from the his childhood. One time he came across the wall poster for our youth camp and asked “Are you going to have a big conference?”. When I said yes, he asked “How many people will attend?”. I said 50 thousand teenagers. Is it profitable for us? I said yes we have a lot of profit.

 

Similarly, do we give any profit for God who meets our needs and protects us? I mean are we useful? We need to think about it. What profit can I give to God, you ask yourself? If we look back in Christian history, you and I came to know God as a result of many giving their talents, money and time as seed. Many people in Sivakasi accepted the Lord because of the seed called Ragland. Sarah Tucker planted her money in Tirunelveli and Sarah Tucker School and College came into being. There are many students who came to know God through this. How many seeds are inside a tomato fruit! Similarly, God has given us life, talents, skills, money, time and children as seeds. When you sow the seeds that God has given us for Him, you will receive more fruit. Let us be those who benefit the kingdom of God. But if they are not sown, i.e. not used, there is no profit. The apostle Paul sowed everything that God gave him to God, leaving what seemed to be profit to him as loss and brought great profit to the Kingdom of God. What do you do with your seeds? Have you sown to bear fruit? No, do you tie it selfishly? When you sow your time, talent, life, money, and children for the Lord, you will reap the fruit. Heaven rejoices; God will be glorified in you. In the above verse, we read that people will curse if they enjoy themselves and bind themselves. God has given this year as a year of departure and action. Let us set out to sow the things that God has given us without keeping them frozen in us. Let's take the first step. God bless.
