Christmas Island

 

"…The LORD reigns: Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad!" - Psalm 97:1

 

The red crab is a rare species of crab living in the wild, which lives on an island off the top of Australia. At the beginning of the rainy season, they travel several miles towards the coast. It is a dangerous journey. Birds, humans, vehicles on the roads and casualties are fighting to develop and save their species by going through many dangers. Red crabs breed and multiply on Christmas Day. In 1643, Captain William Minersu of the British East India Company's ship "Royal Mary" passed the island and named it Christmas Island. These crabs have fought to reach this place and not only save their species but also multiply.

 

In the scriptures, Moses and Aaron worked hard to rescue the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and bring them into Canaan and inherit it. Similarly, Queen Esther and Mordecai went to great lengths to rescue their own people and save them from Haman's conspiracies. They fasted and interceded with the community and saved them from harm to their clan. The Lord Jesus Christ, born of the Virgin Mary, left heaven and came to earth to protect and save the people of this world who are living in sin, darkness, and slavery. He gave his life for all of us.

 

Yes, beloved, Christ came to this earth to save us from sinful world. Christmas is the day we should realizes the sacrificial love of Christ. Have we done anything to please the heart of the Lord? Or by buying clothes, making special dishes, and making our family happy on this day? Are we ready to share the love of Jesus when we share gifts and sweets?How true is theword that the islands will wait for Jesus' gospel, his scriptures. If the wise with three sense crabs will travel miles to save their species, how many islands must we travel to where the name of Christ has yet to be proclaimed! What are we going to do to save them from eternal destruction? Let the gospel of Christ spread everywhere. May the whole earth be filled with His glory. May the joy of salvation fill our hearts and homes!! Hallelujah!!!
