Abundance-deficiency

 

"…The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few" - Matthew 9:37

 

In a village there was a wonderful family living for Christ. The family consisted of three daughters and a widow mother. That mother had a desire to send her three daughters to the ministry of Christ Jesus! Similarly she sent his first daughter to a place inhabited by uncivilized tribes. In few months, she suffered from poisonous fever and died in that area where there is no medical facility. The mother told her relatives and friends that she wanted to send her other two daughters. They said no and scolded this mother. But the mother sent her two daughters without listening to anyone. They served well for many years. They also got infected with the same type of virus and died. The news came to the mother. The mother broke down and cried. Everyone said, Why are you crying after losing your three daughters by sending them to ministry without listening to us? They asked, “what is the use of crying now.” The mother said that I am not crying for my dead children, I am crying because there are no more children to send to the ministry.

 

A poor widow offered two coins she had in an offering box. Then Jesus said that this poor widow offered more money into the offering box than all the others. In that case, the poor widow did not save anything for herself and gave away everything she had for her living.

 

Children of God who read this, the poor widow gave all she had for God. It was precious in God's eyes. Today there are many graduates who have studied for worldly jobs. But there is no one to do God's work. Will you come as a servant in these days of bountiful harvest and few servants? Jesus is near you with tears. It doesn't matter if you're weak or fool. "God has chosen the foolish things in the world to put the wise to shame; today we will do God's service regardless of the outcome. Will you sow what you have for Him? Even if we cannot see the fruit of what we sow today, surely the fruit will be abundant one day!
