Commitment

 

"Lord, what do You want me to do?" - Acts. 9:6

 

It was the missionary John Henry Holmes who converted the cannibals of Papua Island into men of Christ. (1866-1934) who was eager to convey the love of Christ to mothers. He was disturbed for a moment when he saw the condition of the people there. He went to the island of Papua through a mission establishment and saw people standing with no clothes on their bodies and with unbearable stench. First he learned the language of the people and began to be friendly with them. He completely changed the superstitions prevailing among them. He built schools and houses. He helped them to read the scriptures in their language. This changed the standard of living of the people of Papua Island. People who kill and eat people started loving people because of the love of Jesus. All this is because John Henry devoted his life to the salvation of the people of Papua Island.

 

Acts. In chapter 9, we know the details of the Lord's encounter with Saul. This Saul asked for letters to build up the Christian people and bring them to Jerusalem. While traveling for it, a light met him. At that place Paul heard the voice of the Lord and dedicated himself to God saying, "Whatever you want me to do." The Lord made Paul write more than 13 epistles through this dedicated Paul. A young man named Timothy was also the reason to serve God.

 

Beloved, surrender is surrendering ourselves, ours, and what God has to give to us. Many ministers were formed and epistles were written because of the dedication of Paul who was working against the Christians. This Paul is still spoken and preached by churches, ministers and believers today. When you dedicate yourself to God today, you can become eligible for the salvation of many thousands of people. Let us listen to His voice and dedicate ourselves to doing His will, bearing in mind that the life span given to us on earth is short!
