Daily Devotion (English) – 14.11.2023 (Children’s day Special)

 

Dear father

 

"…But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven…" - Matthew 19:14

 

Little children! Today is your day. Children's Day! Happy children's day! Shake your hands. We had a Prime Minister whom small children affectionately called "Nehru Mama". We celebrate his birthday as Children's Day. Look, the Prime Minister loves you. Jesus loves you more than anyone else in this world. He is very concerned about you. Let's see a true story about it?

 

A minister named Ankroma from America was invited to our Tamil Nadu to preach in the congregation. Shall we hear his witness. "When I was a little boy, I longed for love because I didn't know who my father was. If I asked my mother, she would get very angry and scream. I grew up in an unloving place. I always cried because I was worried. One day, my mother made me sit in the park and said, "Here I am." The people who went away did not come until evening. I was there and started crying. Hunger was on one side and fear on the other. At that time a gentleman came and picked me up with love, wiped my tears and took me to his house. Everyone in the house laughed and talked to me after giving me a hearty meal.

 

My mind was jittery. There were two brothers like me in that house. The teacher who came to teach them, taught me also. I regularly went to Sunday school with those brothers. I liked all the songs and stories taught there. The words that Jesus is very kind to you made me very happy. From then on, I would call Jesus as Abba, Abba and ask for whatever I wanted. That will be provided. In the midst of many hardships, Jesus lived as a child and grew up. Jesus called me to serve. I started telling others what the Lord had done in my life. They gave gifts and powers. Today I travel around the world talking about this love. Surprised myself! Even if my father was there, would I have received such a gesture?" he said.
