Genuine- fake?

 

"Test all things; hold fast what is good…" - 1 Thessalonians 5:21

 

There was a shop, selling wooden handicrafts. There, sandalwood products held special value. There were two types of products made from sandalwood. One was of original sandal wood. It smelled natural and was worth the price. The second type was applied topically with sandal paste. It smelled great and was cheap. But this is what attracted the audience and customers. Customers bought second-rate products. Seeing this, the object made of sandalwood wept and wailed. Seeing this, the teak wooden chair said, "Don't regret my friend, wait patiently." A young man and his father came to the shop. The young man picked up fake sandalwood products. Father, experienced in woodwork, told him to take the first-class one. Even though the scent has diminished, they have been buying genuine sandalwood products for its true value.

 

Among the twelve disciples whom Jesus Christ knew, Judas Iscariot, who was chosen by the Lord and who ate and slept with him, was known as a disciple in the eyes of all others. But there was hidden a deadly character in Judas that was waiting for the moment to betray the Lord because of the desire for money. No one knew it until the time of betrayal. At the last Passover meal with the Twelve, Jesus said, "One shall betray Him." Everyone asked “Is it me? Judas also asked Am I?” Judas joined others in hiding his evil intentions even though he knew that he was the one. He asks Jesus who knows everything. Judas' speech was similar to the original session until the last minute.

 

Yes, dearly beloved, there are many who are deceived into thinking that men are outwardly good. That is why our Lord also said, "Be wise as serpents" and beware of men who are like wolves in sheep's clothing. How true are the words that they can be known by their fruits! Let us also be careful not to live a false Christian life.
