"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" - 1 Corinthians 10:31

 

Everyone in the world makes decisions about many things in their lives. What to study? What work to choose? Whom to marry? Young people are in a situation where they have to make a decision. Today's decision determines our tomorrow. The careless or hasty decisions we make out of selfishness, vanity, greed, etc., have major consequences throughout our lives, and sometimes beyond.

 

Let's look at some pointers on how we should make decisions as children of the Lord. First depend on the Lord and trust Him. Then he will do exactly what he has planned to do. Psalm 37:5 says, "Commit your way to the Lord, and trust in Him, and He will work it out." Even the most difficult and confusing things can become simple if we take Jesus as our guide and surrender our all to His counsel.

 

By making our condition and our needs known to God with prayer and firmly trusting in Him, we may not melt away. Let's sit and pray and wait for him. Even Jesus prayed all night before choosing his twelve disciples.

 

The book of Proverbs tells us to seek God's counsel before making a decision. If one does not get adequate advice his plans will fail. The scriptures say that if counsellors are many, their plans will be established. We can decide with the approval of the Lord. How the Amalekites burned Ziklag and looted all wives, children, and belongings, see how David strengthened himself in the Lord and asked him his advice and defeated the Amalekites and returned everything, God's advice is the best way! To make a decision. Hallelujah!!
