He who knows the depths

 

"He reveals deep and secret things;…" - Daniel 2:22

 

Man judges by the face, God searches our hearts. Hanna was very sad because she was childless. Grief gripped her. There was no favourable situation around her. She poured out the depths of her heart, that is, the sorrow and pain in her heart, in the presence of God. But Eli saw her and told that she was drunk and mad. But the Lord saw Hanna’s heart and gave her a Samuel.

 

In the 17th chapter of 1Samuel, Samuel seeks to anoint the king by looking at the appearance of the sons of Jesse. But God doesn’t see as man sees. The man sees the face. He said, "I am God who sees the heart." So God chose David who was shepherding sheep and anointed him as the king. Yes, only the Lord knows the depths of your heart.

 

Beloved! The path you are on may be derisive and critical to many outsiders. But be careful. The Lord sees your heart. When you go into a difficult situation people will second guess your decisions based on what they know about it. But it is different from the furnace of fire and lion's den that people who believe in God pass through! They will understand that later. The flame of fire does not touch us. They don't roll over us even when crossing turbulent waters. Yes, the answer from the Lord who knows our innermost thoughts is going to be surprising. Alleluia!
