Daily Devotion (English) – 08.10.2023 (Kids Special)

 

For good

 

"…And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him…" - Romans 8:28)

 

There was a beautiful city. Near that city there was a pond with many steps. There lived a very poor man who was rejected by everyone. His residence was the bank of the pond.

 

One day the only daughter of the King of that town celebrated her birthday. On that day the king arranged a feast to the people of that town. It was a king's house meal. Mutton biryani, chicken, kheer and so on. Everyone lined up and had their food. This poor man also waited on the line. But everyone sneered at him and left him aside. It was a big disappointment for him who waited till evening. No food was provided to him. Tiredly sitting on the bank of the pond and looking at the sky, "Oh God, is it my sin that I was born so poor? Why are you testing me so much? Everyone eats the food of the king's house. Only I am like this.", He lamented.

 

Meanwhile, when the king was returning home after the feast, he saw the man sitting on the bank of the pool with a thin body. He immediately got down from the chariot and put his hand on the man's shoulder and asked, "Have you eaten? He replied immediately “Everyone ate at the king's feast but I didn’t” without knowing that he was the king. But he looked at the water saying that he was not lucky to have that. The king's face was clearly visible in the water and he looked back and said, "King, forgive me. I have not given you the respect you deserve." Then the king said, "No problem, no one should go hungry on my daughter's birthday." So, he took that man to the palace in his chariot. Cleaned him, clothed and gifted him with gold coins. Also, said go make a good living. He thanked the king with tears and left.

 

Brother, sister, does anyone consider you low maybe even your family? Don't worry, Jesus who lifted up this poor man will lift you up before their eyes. Don't forgetthat whatever Jesus does in our lives, He does it for good. Okay Bye!
