All things for good

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

A certain believer’s family lived in a village in China. They trusted in God’s word that all things worked for their good. One day the one and only horse they owned was missing. It was a great loss to them but they accepted that it was for their good. Their neighbors laughed and made fun of their belief in God. After a few days the missing horse returned home along with a few wild horses. The people in the neighborhood were amazed at the majestic horses. One day one of the wild horses kicked the young man in the house and his leg was fractured. Thinking that the family would affirm that it had happened for their good, the neighbors did not go and inquire about the incident to them. Under these circumstances, a civil war broke out in the country and all the young men were ordered to take part in the war. Only this young man with the fractured leg was exempted from going to the war. When the war had ended, they came to know that almost all the young men of the village who went for war lost their lives. This young man was kept alive by God graciously. 

Ok, the Bible says that all things work together for good only to those who love God. We need to know who all love God genuinely. Those who love God, put their trust in God whole heartedly and rely upon His word and power. They give top priority to the Lord and they are prepared to give anything for Him and to lose anything for Him. They obey the voice of the Lord and the commandments and do good work to everyone in all situations. Thus, those who share and reflect the love of the Lord which was lavishly bestowed on us are really loving God.

Dear friends, in the beginning we may not be able to understand that all things work for our good, but in the course of time when we really rely upon Him with faith, we will experience its results. We may think that all the good things are hindered. We may worry why it was a failure for us. But one thing is certain that everything that happens, is orchestrated by God and they are all for our good only. This is amazing.
