Mohan's repentance

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" - Ephesians 2:8

Dear children, how are you? Aren't the first term exams just around the corner? Study well. Ok . Be truthful in all things like studying, obeying teachers, writing exams. May Jesus bless you and lift you up by seeing your truthfulness. Well, shall we hear the story?

Mohan was most loved by his mother. She bought him everything he asked for. So, from childhood, he cheated and cheated his mother to get things done. He grew up and started to go to school. He started stealing pens, pencils and rubbers in school. He reached 5th grade. He took Rs 5 and Rs 10 from others' bags and bought the snacks he wanted to eat. If his mother asks him, he will lie to hide the theft. By the time he came to 8th grade , many bad friends joined with him. He started robbing Rs 50, Rs 100 from his house to bet in front of them. If his mother finds out and enquire him about this, he scolds his mother and starts to fight. He does not go to school regularly. Bad habits also developed as he grew up. No matter how hard his mother tried to correct him, she failed.

Mohan, who was now studying in class 11, joined a gang of thieves and started stealing and selling cell phones. One day the gang got caught and betrayed Mohan to the police and escaped. Mohan went to jail. There he experienced many sufferings like beating, kicking, hunger and starvation. He could not continue his studies, his name got ruined in his youth! He was worried about his future. Amidst the four walls of the jail, he longed for someone to come and care for him, shed tears in solitude. That day his mother came with a priest. He looked at his mother with tears in his eyes. He realized how many times he had cheated his illiterate mother. The preacher spoke about the Lord's forgiveness and salvation. God opened his heart. After a few days he got released from jail and lived a good life.

Little brothers and sisters! Are you making little mistakes like Mohan Anna? Are you thinking no one will find you stealing? One day you will be caught. Repent today. Lying, stealing, speaking bad words and copying are all sins. If you leave this at an early age, your life will become a blessing. Otherwise, you will lose your good name. So, make a good decision today, okay.

- Sis. Deborah.
