Don't panic

 

"…Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest…" - Joshua 1:9

 

The West Indies cricket team was very successful when Clive Lloyd was the captain. Clive would cheer the team on, no matter how bad the situation was. Due to his efficient leadership, the team won always.

 

The Lord dealt with Joshua in the same way. No matter how many miracles he enjoyed, when there was a small shortage, he grumbled and was stunned as to how to lead the people of Israel who were gathering against him. Do not be dismayed. Likewise, when Paul came to the city of Corinth, the government command was on one side, and the opposing people were on the other side. In this case, the Lord said to Paul, "Do not be afraid to speak, do not be silent, I am with you." Likewise, Paul stayed in that city for a year and a half and did evangelism. Not only that, he preached the gospel boldly even in many tribulations, beatings and prisons. He received courage, strength and grace from God who promised that I am with you. Our God is unchanging. "I have fought the good fight and finished the race" (2 Tim. 4:7) God has given us the grace to face death with courage. That is why he boldly said, "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ" (1 Cor. 11:1).

 

Beloved, are you too bewildered by the circumstances, by the people in front of you, afraid and confused? Today the Lord says to you do not be dismayed I am with you. So, if we holds fast to God Almighty, the Lord who used Joshua, when he was stunned will also use you. He will help you overcome the situation. He will make you live like Paul, to the point of saying, "Follow me." Go forth on the Lord who said, "I am with you." You will be elevated.
