My house may be filled...

 

"…yet there is room... and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled" - Luke. 14:22,23

 

In today's scripture, a man prepares a great feast and invites many people. When it's time for the feast, the invitees start making excuses. One says “ I have to go to the field”. Other refuses saying that “He wants to test his cow. Another says, "I just got married and I cannot come." But that master's will is, somehow my house should be filled with people. So, he becomes angry and commands the servant, "Go into the streets and fill my house with the poor, the maimed, the lame, and the blind."

 

This is the attitude of our Lord Jesus Christ today; he wants to fill heaven with his people! But even after more than 2000 years the place is still empty. So, he is asking humbly that each of us who have accepted Christ to fill the vacancy.

 

What are you going to do, to fulfil Lord's will? Are you satisfied with the prayer recited, ministry done, donations given? Are we trying to convert Christians into real Christians? We conduct power camps and training camps for Christians. Our 90% T.V. programs are targeting Christians. Everything we do is good. In the ministry we have done so far, we have given importance to ourselves and to Christians. But the house has not been filled yet, by the ministry we did so far? Now the Lord is changing our plan, vision and effort and giving us another plan. What is that? According to Luke 14:23, we have to go to the main roads, streets, hospitals and proclaim the gospel and fill the heaven with people for the Lord's feast.

 

Beloved! Our Lord is one who fills all that is empty. That is why the Lord wants the heaven to be completely filled. He says "There's still room". Will you act to fill the empty space?
