True liberation

 

"…everyone who sins is a slave to sin…" - John 8:34

 

As we celebrate the 76th Independence Day of our country Bharat, let us reflect on what is true freedom. The people of our country are enslaved to many deadly sins and sinful habits, thinking that they are completely independent and have every right to do what their mind and flesh desires. They don’t realize that they are enslaved by Satan, the ruler of the world. They also engage in protests claiming to commit sins like homosexuality.

 

A man earned money by teaching a bear to dance gracefully. The bear received many floggings while learning to dance. Running away from him into the forest, the bear often performed dance tricks to show itself superior to other animals. One day an old bear said, " Are you proud to show the dance that you learned by being a slave and being flogged." The bear stopped dancing from that day onwards. Even the bear had the feeling of being enslaved. But the people who are prisoners of Satan and are enslaved to sin at his command live unconsciously, imagining themselves to be free. Jesus Christ is the only God who can free us from Satan's sinful slavery!

 

Former US President Kennedy said, "Ask not what the country is doing for you, but ask what we are doing for the country." The great duty at this hour is to pray and win our countrymen, so that they will be freed from Satan's slavery and become slaves of Christ. Our God, who has chosen us as a small group from our country were millions of people live, is longing to see if we will do this duty for our country. Shall we obey? Anyone can do this prayer service anywhere, anytime, every day!
