Praise the Lord

 

"The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me" - Psalm 50:23

 

A man in the US was sentenced 50 years in prison for his crime. Because of this his wife and children suffered a lot for years. By which he became irritated and angry and showed his anger and hatred to those around him. One day he took the Bible in his room and read it. A sense of peace filled him as he read. Accepted that Christ suffered and died for me without committing a single sin. From that day onwards, he started thanking God for accepting his punishment for all the sins he committed. Few days passed. He heard that his wife has cancer. Even then he gave thanks without giving up. His wife recovered and came to see him. What a miracle!

 

When we grumble, we give way to Satan. When we praise, we prioritise the Lord and exalt Him. When the people of Israel were led by God through Moses in the wilderness, they grumbled and complained as they encountered difficulties along the way. They did not glorify God for freeing them from slavery. Thus, they lost Canaan. Their children inherited it. On the other hand, God fights for us while we praise. Jericho collapsed while Israel praised and cheered. Destruction and God's wrath came when they grumbled. Yes, when we prioritise God we praise and when we grumble, we prioritise Satan. Our lives depend on who we prioritize.

 

Beloved reading this, let us be able to praise in the midst of difficulties and not grumble or complain. We will praise automatically if we are thankful for what God has done in our lives. Praise that breaks down barriers can make our lives triumphant. Let praise always be on our tongue. Heaven will come to you if you praise. All your situation will change. Be thankful and praise.
