Let's examine ourselves

 

"But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged..." - 1 Cor 11:31

 

The person who blocked your growth in a big company has died. His body is kept on the second floor. It was instructed that everyone should go and visit. As soon as seeing the instructions many questions arised in every one’s heart. Who would it be? Oh no! How could I have been unaware of who stopped my improvement? Is that why I never got promoted?” Thinking that, everyone climbed the stairs quietly. There was a coffin. When everyone went closer to the coffin there was a glass inside. Below that it was written "You are the only obstacle for your growth! No one else can stop your growth. Don't look at others and don't give excuses."

 

We often think that others hinder our growth. I think I would be better off without them. But God created each of us individually, promised individually, and writes our deeds individually in the book of remembrance. When he comes as a judge, he honours us by giving us as per our deeds that the benefit I give to him also comes with me. Even if we are with others, the things we encounter in our lives are probably not caused by others but by ourselves. So it is enough to keep renewing ourselves every day. We can feel His mighty work when we renew ourselves. David defeated Goliath with that strength. Jehoshaphat went before his army with a choir and came in triumph. Hezekiah hears the message to set right his household and returns to the wall without complaining about his illness to the prophet who came to give him the message. He got an additional 15 years.

 

Beloved, let us renew ourselves every day and grow in our relationship with God. Thus, inherit the heavenly life without magnifying, complaining, or hindering the things before us. The scripture says, "Do not complain against one another, lest you be judged" (James 5:9). No one can stop what God gives you. It cannot be prevented. We should understand this clearly and act promptly.
