PROJECT- Shipbuilding

 

"Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy" - Psalm 126:5

 

Noah was a righteous man, who was walking with God, as the Bible testimony calls him righteous ! God chose Noah, and why? God is assigning a project to save Noah family. what is that? Is it Gardening? No, the Shipbuilding Project, even more it comes with specifications. That the length, width and height are specified, the rooms should be like this, that they should be nailed etc ! Yes, God will give each of us "a project" to who walk uprightly before God. No matter what project it is (family, study or work), we have rules specified.

 

God said we will build and Noah builds. Many questions may have arisen in his heart while building. Whether we can build it perfectly?, whether we will be alive after building it?, whether the ark we build will save us even if we are alive. . .? Not only that, other people laughed at his work or pitied him for struggling so much for a "work he doesn't know". However, he never quits his project. In the midst of tears, he completes the construction perfectly with his full strength and wholeheartedness.

 

If, like Noah, the Project that the Lord has assigned us is a "family", we should also build long-lasting meekness with love and high character traits. Or it may be a study that is not suitable for our knowledge. Or it may be a job that is not relevant to our studies. Whatever it is, let it be. Don't give up halfway. Noah's actions are role model for us.

 

Noah had a gopher tree as a ship. We have Jesus Christ to complete the project. Jesus Christ says that let this vessel depart from me if you will! But he accepted all the suffering. He is the saviour of the world for all of us today. Noah and his family were saved from the destruction of the flood by the ark built by Noah. Not only that, all living crearures were protected. In the same way, the family Jesus Christ gave us, through family, study or work, we and our belongings will be blessed.
