Need of Endurance

 

"For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised…" - Hebrews 10:36

 

John and Jagan were close friends. Both studied together since childhood. After completing their education, both of them started to search for jobs. John got a job in a good company. Became Employed. Jagan was still on the prowl for job. Days and years went by.

 

One day there was an interview in the same company where John worked. Jagan also participated in it and got selected. The next day, Jagan also joined the company. Both of them performed responsibly the work assigned to them. Seeing the work done by them sincerely and responsibly, the company manager appreciated them a lot and wanted to give promotion to both of them.

 

But they called Jagan and gave him the responsibility of looking after the workers in the company. He also began to faithfully fulfil the responsibility given to him. Days passed. John was very angry because Jagan, who came so many years after him , has been promoted. So he was very upset. Finally he thought of leaving the company. He immediately went to the company manager and told him that I am going to resign the job. The manager asked the reason. Immediately John shed all the anxiety in his heart and said that you have given promotion to Jagan who came after me but I am with same job. The manager said in a humble voice, John, be patient, don't be in a hurry. As we are going abroad as a family, we thought that we can hand over the entire responsibility of this company to you. Somehow we thought of you to promote you to a higher position but you have come with resignation letter. Manager was very upset with John reaction. John realized his mistake and apologized to the manager, thinking responsibility he had lost because of haste in his heart.

 

Brother and sister, any hasty decision will bring us great loss. So learn to be patient and not jealous.
