Iron Dome

 

"The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;…" - Psalm 121:7

 

The "Iron dome" is a mobile, 90 kg, air defence system developed by the Israel Defence Forces. It can intercept and destroy short-range rockets, missiles and artillery shells. During the Gaza-Israel war in April 2011, the device shot down several missiles and rockets. One evening, a "sandstorm" swept across the forces as Israel began its ground attack on Gaza. With nothing visible in front of them, in great confusion and fear of defeat, all the Israelite soldiers fell on their knees in the sand and cried out to God at the command of their army commander.

 

Alas! Instead of subsiding, the sandstorm began to intensify. Thinking that "God has not helped us", the entire army lay down on the sand. When the night began to pass and the 'storm' subsided, a clear path began to emerge. Only then they knew that the Lord had saved them from great danger and thanked God. Because along the route they had come across, they found a large number of landmines buried in the sand and the wires used to detonate them. They thanked the Lord again, realizing that if they had proceeded a single step, the entire army would perish.

 

Sometimes it seems that what the Lord is doing to His children is against, but He will never do any evil. We have a God who can protect us as the eyelid protects the iris of the eye. He delivers us from the snare of wrath, from destruction and pestilence. So don't worry, if things happen against what we expect. He directs everything for good.
