Be united in group

 

"Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others" - Philippians 2:4

 

There was an interview in a reputed company for an important position. 150 people came for it. They were divided into 3 groups with 50 members and was seated in three rooms. Then each was given a balloon. They thought like kids we are provided with balloons . Then they were instructed to secure the balloon for 5 minutes. People in two rooms started breaking other people's balloons thinking, that only the balloon holders will be given jobs. All 50 people in the third room kept the balloon safe. After 5 minutes all 150 people were called. 50 people who kept the balloon safe were guaranteed with job. The Manager said “ You burst others balloon thinking that they should not get the job ..and eventually you also became jobless. We require people for team work in our company.

 

It's hard to see people working in group together these days. There are a lot of people who are waiting to let others down. In the Bible, Daniel, Ananias, Mishavel, and Azariah were together when they were taken captive to Babylon. They stood together in a decision not to be defiled by Kings food and looked 10 times Stronger than others. The 4 people prayed when the order came that unless the dream of king and its meaning is revealed everyone would be put to death. The dream was revealed to Daniel and he was exalted in the land. Even then he prayed to the king for his 3 friends and they were also promoted to investigate the affairs of the province. Ecclesiastes also says that it is better for two to be together than to be alone. The psalmist says how good and how pleasant it is for a brother to dwell together.

 

Fellowship with the saints is just as important as scripture reading and prayer for every Christian to grow in Christ. Just as fellowship with friends brought Earthly and spiritual blessings to Daniel, so fellowship with the saints is fruitful for our growth. For this we must humbly regard others as superior to us. And as Paul says, we should bear one another's burdens and pray for one another, not owing anything but love. Yes, let's work together. Let's win.
