Appreciate and reap the reward

 

“... a kind word cheers it up.” - Proverbs 12:25

 

Children abroad have blue and brown eyes. The teacher told the children that" researchers have found out that the children with blue eyes are more intelligent and brainier". As a result, children with blue eyes scored good marks in exams conducted that month. A few months have passed, and the teacher told the children, “Researchers have found out after long research that those with brown eyes are more intelligent, and their memory power is better". As a result, children with brown eyes scored good marks. The teacher came to the conclusion that appreciation will give good results. 

 

We can see that our Lord Jesus Christ is also appreciating. We can see Jesus appreciating the Mary of Bethany by saying " she has chosen what is better", to the Canaanite woman " you have great faith, to the centurion " Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith". 

 

Children are the gift of God. They should be raised and guided towards the Lord. The Bible says “fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged" (Colossians 3:21). The bible warns us by saying " But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it was better for him that a millstone was hanged about his neck, and that he was drowned in the depth of the sea."(Matthew 18:6) 

 

This is the beginning of a new academic year. Parents and teachers should encourage children and guide them in a good path. Don't scold them in a way they get discouraged. Each of them has unique talents. Appreciate their talents and good habits. You will see good results.
