Commencement of the plan 

“…I will see this great sight…” – Exodus 3:3 

It was a very beautiful orchard with arrays of various fruit trees. Each tree was boasting of its greatness and how it excels in quality. Their conversation began with the apple tree proudly saying, “My fruits are costly and they are liked by everyone; They contain a lot of nutrients.” The orange tree interrupted the conversation and stated, “I am also as special as you are; I bear colorful fruits which are rich in Vitamin C.” In the same manner each tree described what kind of fruit it bears and its special qualities. A thorny shrub near the fence of the orchard was listening to their conversation and felt bad. The bush said, “I am good for nothing; I am prickly and so no one comes closer to me.” But I think, the thorny bush did not know that our Lord spoke to Moses only in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. 

God speaks to Moses from a burning bush and discloses His plan for him to rescue the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and lead them into promised land as the beginning for a great revival. Moses was astonished at the awesome sight. Thus, the bush played an important role in the plan for the revival.

Beloved ones, today we may look like a thorny bush to others. We may be disliked and disregarded. We may be rejected because of our infirmities, ignorance or lack of wisdom. We need not get wearied. Our Lord is too powerful to change the prevailing situation in the twinkling of an eye. We must look beyond our situation. Our God is beyond everything. The Lord who changed the bush into a great sight and began a plan of revival, can change us and show His plan for us which will be a pleasant surprise to everyone. Shall we commit ourselves to the almighty God and offer a simple prayer to the creator?
