Love of Christ

 

“In all things we are more than conquerors through Him that loves us” - Romans 8:37

 

Watchman Nee was called the man of sadness. He was a Chinese man of God. He spent his last 20 years in prison. The Chinese government locked him in prison, forced and tortured him to deny Jesus. He was forced to work for 8 hours a day in prison. He was made to listen to the communist principles, songs and messages through a loud telecast. He didn't care about any of this. He stood by Jesus and defended his faith till his last breath ended his life in prison and entered into the heavenly master's peace. An entire government lost to an ordinary man Godly man. His books like Normal Christian life, The spiritual man, and so on are still making a lot of people to warriors of faith and preachers. 

 

In the Bible, apostle Paul accepted suffering and tortured for the love of Christ. Paul being the author of a lot of letters in the new testament, in 2 Corinthians 11 he lists about the suffering he has to undergo for Christ and the love of Christ. He says " of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one". If we think about the reason for this, it is all because of the love Paul had on Christ! So he writes in Romans 8:39 " Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." 

 

Yea, my dear! Who or what can separate us from His love? Neither for the good deeds we do, nor for the struggles we face, but for us being His children he expressed His love on the cross. We shouldn't be a slave to anyone's or any type of love since we live in this ordinary world. We can't be idle if we have Christ's love in us. We will be thinking about doing something for Him. We will be useful for many expressing the love of Christ.
