Hidden under the feathers. 

 

“He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust” - Psalms 91:4

 

The fire at the yellow stone national park in America was telecasted in national geography. In it, Forrest guards went in to estimate the damage done. One of the guards found a bird burnt to ash and stood there as a statue when he was estimating the damage with his tools. He poked the bird with a stick in his hand. He was amazed to see 3 birdlings alive under its burnt wings. This lovely mother bird, took its future generations to the bottom of the tree to protect them from the upcoming danger, covered with its feathers to protect the birdlings from the ash and smoke. It could have flown to a safe place. It didn't forsake its babies and offered its life to the fire. It stood firmly when the fire burnt its tiny body. It was ready to die so that the babies under its feathers may live. How unmatched sacrifice does this bird show!!

 

How great is the sacrifice of a hen is viewed. Yea, if so how great is the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for us! He gave Himself as a living sacrifice on the cross to save us, His children from fire that is the hands of adversary! Let us realise that immeasurable love and surrender ourselves to Him.
