Let’s carry burden for Christ
“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” – Matthew 11:28
In 1945 August 9, an incident happened that shook the whole world. On that day during the second world war, the American army dropped a nuclear bomb on Nagasaki and killed more than two lakhs people. A young army officer came to survey and document the damage. He took a lot of heart breaking photos. Among those was a little boy carrying his dead brother on his back. He told the young boy to drop the dead body. If not he will get tired and weak soon. The little boy said, he is my little brother. "He is not a burden to me.” On hearing this, the army officer was shocked and shed tears. The photograph he took and the words that boy said united Japan.
Today a lot of young boys are going towards their death without knowing Jesus! Do we share the same mentality with Cain, Am I my brother’s keeper? Or do we wish to bring them to Christ? Can we bring like that little boy those going towards Hell with problems such as sin, curse, sickness, debt, teenage lust, joblessness to the Love of our Lord ? We will say “you are not a burden “ if we love them. Because he is my own brother, sister! Let the burden of “ Indian youth is for Jesus” rise in us! Let us decide to carry the burden for Jesus.
