What gives satisfaction?

 

“… whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst” - John 4:14

 

An IT employee named Jeyahar earning a good salary will be often restless in his office. Whenever he is unhappy and nervous, his friends understood that he went behind unwanted happiness last night.

 

King Solomon was eager to enjoy his life to the fullest. But what advice does he give us? There is no true satisfaction in anything and he says "behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit."

In this world there are lot of was to get temporary happiness and enjoyment. A man can make himself happy in many ways in his life. Do you know what happens when some do so? Dissatisfaction and emptiness will increase. For how much do you seek this worldly pleasures, it will create an unquenchable thirst for it. So you can never get a satisfied mindset by seeking this worldly pleasures. Money, possession, riches, status, feelings, whatever it maybe, this is the truth. 

 

That's why our Lord Jesus Christ said "…whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst." But the happiness, peace and satisfaction will spring in our heart forever. We have to think does they way we live will make us happy or sad. Whenever the ways that young man Jeyahar had fun comes to his mind, it will make him restless. Most of the times a man's enemy is not outside but in him.
