Paradise

 

“…Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise” – Luke 23:43

 

Second verse Jesus said when He was on the cross 

When our Lord Jesus Christ was hanging on the cross, one of the criminal who was crucified with Him started talking to Him. He saw the good behaviour of Jesus when Jesus said "Father, forgive them" when He was in agony and pain. The criminal repented when he saw the love, forgiveness and kindness or Jesus. Then he said his prayers to Jesus as "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom."

 

In that instant Jesus said "today you will be with Me in Paradise.” For every sinner who repents and leave behind the sinful life, heaven has promised eternal life to those. Our Lord says, "For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies". The first blessing to those repent and come to Jesus is the happiness of salvation. 

 

D.L Moody was preaching about heaven and forgiveness from sin. In th end of the meeting, a hardcore sinner took D.L Moody to his house showed around. He showed his house as it was overflowing with the aftermath of his sinful life. Will your Jesus forgive all these? will Jesus accept me , he asked in a painful tone. Moody said calmly said, definitely Jesus will forgive you. He will accept you in His kingdom. That man accepted Jesus at that instant. He experienced heavenly happiness. Our loving Lord has promised us heaven, the eternal life when we repent, leave behind our old life and come to Jesus. Let us inherit that.
