Jesus' love on the Calvary

 

“...He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;...” - Isaiah 53:5

 

People's hearts were broken when a mother cried in agony and broken heart "Alas, my So knew no sin yet they are thrashing and tormenting Him" They can't comfort her so they cried with her. I wanted to dress my young son with beautiful clothes. But He is standing with torn cloths! I thought my Son is an example for many so He will be crowned a crown of hold, but He was crowned with a crown of thorns and His face is covered in blood His face is hard to recognise, she cried more thinking all these. Even our hearts will suffer if we see this mother isn't it?

 

Who is that Child? Why was that Child suffered so much? Shall we look at what He has done to deserve all these? He is our Lord Jesus Christ. The mother who wept there was His mother Mary. Are you thinking why was he Tormented? Because of our sins! Since He loved us very much, He accepted all the punishment we deserved on Himself. He wasn't thrashed with a cane or a belt. The whip He was thrashed with is cleaved into 7 splits. Iron hooks are attached to its ends and Jesus was beaten 40 times with it. It ripped and brought the flesh in His back with it when whipped. His back appeared as a ploughed field. Not only that, the thorny crown he was crowned with, had the crowns sharp and strong as iron. It pierced his head and came out through His eyes once it was struck on. Which means how much blood much have He lost! How much agony has He suffered!

 

He went to the place of skull carrying the heavy cross and crowned with a crown of thorns. There was blood in his path. When He reached the spot, He was stripped of His clothes and crucified on the cross He carried. He was hung on the cross pierced by nails in both His arms and legs and died for us. 

 

My dear brother and sister, Jesus has suffered all these tormentation and suffering, are you going to make Jesus cry by sinning again or are you going to make Him happy?
