Daily Devotion (English) – 04.03.2023

 

He showed the warning light- but

 

“Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.” - Ezekiel 3:17

 

There will be gates to cross a railway crossing from one side to another. There will be guards too. They will warn using red flags in the day and red lights at night in case of a danger. 

 

There was an accident in a level crossing, it had lot of casualties. So the enquiry started, the guards were called. The judge asked, whether the guard was present there, did he show the red light and so on. For most of the questions the guard said," I was present as usual and holding the red light". After a long time the case came to an end. 

 

After a few days, this guard told his friend " I was scared what to say to the judge if he asked, while you were holding the lamp was it burning. But he didn't ask". 

 

The guard was holding the red light! But there was no red light as usual. It was an empty lamp. That's why the accident happened!!

 

Guards of the nation! people of God, Lord's ministers, our life is it like a brightly burning lamp? or is it not burning like the lamp that guard was holding? Is our ministry lacking the gospel "the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."? Is it like the guard holding a lamp without red light, is our ministry a fake what doesn't proclaim the salvation from the blood of Jesus Christ? 

 

Think today! Correct it! Let us do the ministry with truthfulness! God will appreciate us for being a good guard! How delightful is it!
