Are you deserving

 

“...they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving.” - Luke 7:4

 

A friend of an evangelist came to him to say "My wife had a major operation. After that she got cold and fever, no she is struggling with death" and started crying. When this evangelist started crying for that woman, Holy Spirit reminded him of lot of good things she did. She fed lot of evangelists. She fed this evangelist three times when he went there to share the gospel." He prayed, O Lord she is deserving for your mercy" and struggled with God. She was healed. 

 

A servant of the centurion was sick and struggling with death. On hearing about Jesus, he sent elders of Jews to Jesus to come and heal his servant. That priests came to Jesus to say "He is deserving for Jesus to heal his servant. He loves our people and he has built synagogues for us". On hearing this Jesus started walking towards that centurion's house. When Jesus was near his house he sent his friends to say "Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof. But say the word, and my servant will be healed". When the friends returned back to his home, his servant was healed. 

 

My dear! we can't go to heaven by our deeds. But don't forget that we have rewards for our actions based on love. The donations of Cornelius was remembered in the presence of God. Tabitha's good deeds were a reason to rise her from the dead. Few actions will be a reason for us to receive grace and miracles from God. Let us live to be deserving to receive goodness! Don't forget that everything you do with what you have will bear fruit, so do good without getting tired.
