Stand firm

 

“For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.” - Hebrews 3:14

 

A young man in tears came to meet a priest. He said, " pray for me so that atleast this month to be a blessing for me." The priest asked him " why what happened in your life to make you feel this bad?". He said, I started a business last month. It was not profitable. So, I'm planning to start a new business. So, I came to pray. The priest said, " son God makes abundance from humble beginning. For it to happen you need a steadfast heart. stay in this business. God will guide you" and the priest prayed before this young man left. 

 

Yea, children of God! We might have involved in new things. Once we encounter small hinderance instead of thinking "this is hard, I can't do it" let us continue to do it and reap the full benefits. So, David says, " O God, renew a steadfast spirit within me". (Psalms 51:10). Though we may encounter few hinderance and failures, we can be partakers in God if we move forward through faith. The Israelites came from Canaan with the faith that they will go to Canaan. But they lost their hopes and murmured once they encountered the hinderance like the red sea, water to drink, food and so forth. They lost Canaan. So, move forward to improve your spiritual and this worldly lives by standing firm in the decisions you make.

 

Have you decided to quit what you have started because of the small failure you encountered? Though your beginning may be little, but your end will be abundant. You need lot of focus in a business or a something you do to be profitable since the beginning. Because the Bible says in Proverbs 20: 21 (An inheritance gained hastily at the beginning will not be blessed at the end.). So let us have a steadfast spirit to receive fulfilled goodness from God.
