Go forward, those who are saved 

 

“...Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither” - Luke 19:30

 

A missionary was doing his ministry in north India. One day he happened to meet a family. They introduced an old man. He was putting a garland to a radio and worshipping it. The missionary asked what is he doing. He said " this is my guru". Missionary asked "why are you saying that?", For that he replied, "news about Jesus will be broadcasted in morning and evening. I will listen to it. I like it very much. I am worshipping the Jesus whom the news speaks about." He was worried that there is nobody to guide him in the right direction. He didn't know to pray. Knowing this, the missionary taught him to pray and gave him a bible. 

 

My dear! What this incident teaches us is, we all have people touched by God around us. If we guide them and tell them about Jesus, they have it in their heart to accept Jesus. We should go to meet them. Jesus Christ told His disciples "Go ye into the village over against you". Yea, we can see those who are in bondage and bring them to Jesus. 

 

We are saved and accepted Jesus as our Saviour. If we look at the reason for this, countless missionaries have sacrificed their luxury, didn't prioritised their needs and offered themselves to shed blood and die, and nothing else. Our salvation is the fruit of the missionaries' blood and body sown as seeds in this land. Apostle Paul writes about this in his letters as following "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation". 

 

How can we not share the joy of salvation if we realise that someone else came to share the news of salvation with us?
