Rise and Shine

 

“That was the true Light, which gives light to every man coming into the world.” - John 1:9

 

20 years ago when I was going to college, I was in my home like a mad woman for 6 months unable to continue my education. My sickness was healed because of my mother's prayer. God raised me up among those who thought low of me. God trained me like He did with Moses in the desert through the trials I faced. He guided me in ministry marvelously. He made me shine when I was still in darkness. Yea, the Bible says about John "He was the burning and shining lamp". Desert life, humble clothing and food habits is what distinguish him from others. His humble way of living, the way he preached about sin, his call to the people to repentance, made the people living around Jerusalem Jordan and Judea to repent and baptized. His prayer "He must increase, but I must decrease" teaches us his humbleness. The faith he had in Christ prepared him to die as a martyr. Yea, he was a burning and shining lamp. 

 

Yea, my dear! Are you wondering, can I shine or can my life shine for many people ? Let us straighten us with the help of Bible verses. If we have the humbleness, simplicity and faith, we are also a burning and shining lamp. Our life will also be a lighthouse for many who seeks a way to live.
