Let us continue our race
“For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again” - Proverbs 24:16
Am I going to stand for Christ till end? was the thought preventing lot of Christians from becoming a disciple of Christ. After declaring I am a "Child of God" boldly to family members and friends, if I fall into sin again, they will make fun of me is also a thought preventing them from rooting into Christ.
It is true that we have to be like Christ (1 John 2:6). But still, we should realize the truth that we all will slide at some point. That's why James said including him "For we all stumble in many things" (James 3:2). We shouldn't be scared of falling down but we should know what to do when we fall down. What to do when you fall down? Get up jump and run again, that's all.
What does God expect from us? Most of us have wrong point in regarding that. We think ourselves that "God expects us to be 100 percent perfect before approaching Him." That is not the truth. But He is still calling out to us saying " the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out". Don't forget this promise wherever you go.
So dear! Don't hesitate to run thinking we might fall. Even if you fall, don't stay where you fell feeling guilty but turn to God saying " God I believe by no means You cast me out. I am coming to You." Jump, get up and run to continue the race. You will witness the good things God gives with your own eyes.
