Sunday school ministry

 

“Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days.” – Ecclesiastes 11:1

 

Little children, I am going to tell you a true story. Listen carefully... Green pastures, Beautiful Mountain and a village on top. It had no school or hospital. No transport facility. People have to come down 10 kms if they need anything. How difficult is it. Children, Jesus has blessed us. A little boy named Somu lived there. Somu will accompany his father whenever he goes to cut firewood and help him to arrange those firewoods. They will come home in the evening and drink the alcoholic beverage his mother made. They will smoke cigar during rainy season. All if them in their village was like that. They were doing this without knowing it is wrong. 

 

There came a brother named David to share the gospel. He was sad to see the situation of the people living there. Even little children were drinking, smoking, speaking bad words, living in unclean environment, after seeing this David started a Sunday school. Somu fathered all the little children in that village. After a few months there happened a huge change. Children started telling their parents that drinking is injurious to health. Village head asked who is responsible for this change and everyone were gathered to beat David. That time Somu's father was bitten by a snake and was carried home. The gathered crowd turned towards Somu's house. They said he will die on the way while carrying him to hospital which is 10 kms away. Somu knelt down and prayed. After a while his father sat on his bed. The villagers were amazed to see him as he was expected to die soon. People believed that this unnatural healing happened because of Somu's prayer. David’s brother was happy for he taught children to ask whatever in the name of Jesus and have faith in him, Jesus will definitely answer them, and he saw this in action. Parents started sending their children to Sunday school regularly. 

 

So kids, are you going to Sunday school? Take your friends with you. They will teach you good things. Jesus will be the guide for your life. Ok Bye.
