Do not be greedy

 

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil…” - 1 Timothy 6:10

 

Hello Children, How are you? Happy new year to you all. Did you all enjoy during your New Year and Christmas celebration? Ok children shall we dive into a story?

 

Uncle Robert had lot of cows in his home. He made a living by selling the milk these cows give. He wanted to make more money from the milk he sells, so he started adding too much water to it. His regular customers asked him why milk has too much water in it, he cleverly said, since getting health food for cows is scarce nowadays so the milk they give has lot of water in it. He thought to buy more cows with the money he made from selling the milk and become owner to a big dairy farm, with this thought he went to buy some cows. On his way he was hungry so he sat under a tree to open his food parcel, ate the food and slept under a tree. A monkey was watching all these from a tree; it came down to take a food parcel thinking it had food in it and went back to the tree and opened it. The monkey was fooled as the parcel had money in it. Uncle Robert opened his eyes and started searching for the money he had. This monkey put a coin on his head as it was angry. He lifted up to see the parcel was with the monkey. He pleaded the monkey to put down the parcel. But the monkey put half the money in a pond nearby and half to him. Robert understood. He got the money for the milk, the money he got by adding water went into the pond. He said to himself, "from now on I will never repeat the same mistake" and came home. From that day he started giving unadulterated milk.

 

Dear children, did you see? He earned money unjustly, and he didn't have it. Like this, earning by lying, stealing, cheating parents will bring us disappointments. Jesus doesn't like this. So in this New Year, leave your old sinful characters behind and take new resolutions. Ok.
