Do what you can 

 

“She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.” - Mark 14:8

 

An old woman aged around 80 lived near our home. She had only 2 fully functioning fingers in her hands. With those hands she will write letters beautifully. She will find the address of those who are in need and sent them a gospel of John. This was he long time habit. Despite her old age, misfunctioning hands and legs, she did what she could to share Jesus and finished her race successfully. 

 

In the Bible, Jesus tells about the woman who poured the precious oil " She hath done what she could." She gave what she had with her to Jesus. I can't give anything in exchange for the love Jesus showed on me. But still I'm doing this to show the love I have on Jesus, and that what she could have thought. And she acted across all boundaries. People around her didn't appreciate what she did but complain and murmur about it. They express their thoughts. But we see that she didn't care about all those and did what she wanted. She took her chance. Jesus appreciates her by saying " she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying." She didn't postpone what she did expecting for a better chance. She didn't think, will He accept me and what I'm about to do. She did what she could and get appreciated. Jesus says, "Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her." 

 

My dear readers, If you have entered to this new year, it is because God's grace. He has graciously given this year to you expecting you will do what you can. Come forward to do whatever you can for Christ. He is weeping for crores of people who doesn't heard about Christ. If you try to wipe his tears by doing whatever you can to let these people know about God, These people will come to God.
