What to Chose?

 

“…do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” - Matthew 6:34

 

A king wanted to bury his body in a grand burial place after his death. So he built a marvellous grave with beautiful statues with the help of expert sculptors. He was marvelled to see the beauty of the tomb he grave. A few weeks passed by, whenever he sees the grave, he thought one day I will die and buried in this place and he is thinking about his death always and lost his sleep. One of his ministers saw this to and said, “Instead of worrying about what future holds, it would be wise to spend today happily. You are burying your happiness today by thinking about your burial someday."

 

Most of us forget to be happy by thinking about tomorrow. We as humans live with a habit like this our saviour Jesus Christ by knowing this, has preached about this in his sermon on the mount (Matthew 6:25-34). We have read this many times. We even memorised it like a parrot. But still we find a reason to worry. Worrying has became our habit.

 

"I haven't built a house" is what we worry when we live in a rent house, and we miss small happy events. Worried about getting your daughter married in 3 years and miss to spent time with your daughter and develop a healthy relationship with her, getting close to her like a friend when she is with you. We know by worrying nothing can be increased or decreased. Then why worry unnecessarily?

 

My dear! The God who feeds the crows and sparrows, will he abandon you the most precious creation in his eyes? Never. So place the burdens about the upcoming year on God and let us be happy in what was given today.
